How would you like to walk in a continuous state of victory? This promise is to everyone that is born again. God wants every believer to live in victory daily! How do you do that? By faith.

For the past 56 years of ministry, my husband and I have been teaching the body of Christ how to win in life! Jerry talked so many people around the world into winning by applying the principles of the Word of God. 1 John 5:4 says, “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world-our faith.” This is a promise of victory!

Faith is simple. Over the years, many Christians have complicated what faith is, but faith is simply believing God, and His ways, then applying His ways in our life through what we do and what we say. Faith is a lifestyle. It is a WINNING lifestyle!

You may be thinking, “This all sounds good. And yes, I want to win all of the time, but I’m not. So, what do I do?” Well, we know according to Romans 10:17, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” One thing you can do is check what you are listening to and putting in your heart. Are you taking in more of the Word or more of the world?

There is another area of our lives that we can check so that our faith will be effective. My husband loved cars, especially fast ones. Each car would need to be serviced from time to time. When he would take the cars in, they would evaluate the different levels of what made the cars run – fuel, oil, etc. Galatians 5:6 says that faith operates on love. The Amplified Classic tells us that what counts is, “…only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.”

LOVE IS THE FUEL TO FAITH.

Most people do not consider the Love Factor where faith is concerned. However, love is the key to a WINNING lifestyle of faith. 1 John 4:16 says, “And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”  The word “lives” means to abide or remain. It conveys a sense of persistence and continuity, a consistent abiding.

Spending time in His presence is the key to fueling our faith by love. In order to grow in faith, we must grow in love. In order to grow in love, we must spend time with the One Who is love.  If you have not been consistently abiding in God, Who is love, your fuel level (love level) will be low thus affecting your faith level and thereby affecting your consistent winning.  It becomes a domino effect.

In contrast, if you are consistently spending time in His presence, you’ll find yourself riding high on faith because your love level is filled up.  This will create a boldness in your life. Acts 4:13 says, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”  The key in this verse is “they had BEEN WITH Jesus.”  They had spent time with Him, and that time with Him gave them confidence to face their situation.

These men in Acts 4 were not scholars. They were uneducated, untrained, common people.  When you spend time in His presence, it will change you from common to uncommon.  When my husband transitioned to Heaven, I set myself apart to be alone with God.  I knew God wanted me to step into a new role, but I could not do this in my own strengths or abilities. I had been the one in the background praying for my husband, but now God was asking me to do something that was outside of my comfort zone. My time that I spent with LOVE Himself gave me the confidence to go for it!

Maybe you can relate to this. You may feel at times that you are not ready or you have not trained enough or even know enough. Has God asked you to do anything that is outside of your comfort zone? Well, that’s where faith comes in. Faith in God can take you places you never dreamed of going. Faith in God can put you in front of great men or women in the world.  Faith can cause you to rise above any circumstance or trial that Satan tries to throw your way.

1 Corinthians 15:57 says, “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Aren't you so thankful that you serve a victorious Savior who is undefeated? That means that you can grab a hold of this victory and walk in it every day. Jerry used to say, “Nothing is over until God says its over, and He will never say it’s over until we win!” That’s you and me! We are winners because of Jesus. We only lose if we quit.

So, I want to encourage you today not to quit. I want to encourage you to run. If I can do it, then you can do it.  Get into His Presence. You can experience the love of God every day which will fuel your faith to win every battle because the victory is already yours through Christ Jesus.
