Don’t Be Shaken by Every Word that You Hear
Ephesians 4:8-15 – “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie and wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ” (vv.14-15).
The five-fold ministry has been sent to preach the Word in order that the Body may be perfected, but it is up to each individual member to become established.
It is to your advantage to become settled and fixed on the Word so that the floods and storms of life will not shake you. Matthew 7:24-27
The heart does not become established simply by reading the Word only, but by talking, meditating, and doing it.
Who you are in Christ, what you are in Christ, and your authority and inheritance as a believer should become so vitally real to you that regardless of what is happening around you, you stand affected.
God’s Image of the Established Believer
Romans 8:31-39 – “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (v.31) “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him
that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (vv.37-39).
Paul could say these things because he had become established in the Word which he had received from the Lord.
Psalm 118:6 – “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?”
Psalm 112:1-8 – “Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies” (vv.6-8).
Seven Major Revelations in Which Every Believer Should Be Established
Reality of redemption
Hebrews 9:11-12 – “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”
Colossians 2:15 – “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them
openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Hebrews 2:14 – “…that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that
is, the devil.”
Revelation 1:18 – “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore,
Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
Galatians 3:13 – “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for
us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.”
Reality of the new birth
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
We are begotten of God even as Jesus was.
Colossians 1:18 – “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead…”
2 Peter 1:2-4 – “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature…” (v.4)
Stop looking at yourself from the natural standpoint.
You are belittling God’s workmanship.
Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”
Reality of righteousness
2 Corinthians 5:21 – “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
Romans 5:17 – “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”
Romans 3:23-26 – “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness… To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus” (vv.24-26).
Reality of being God-indwelt
2 Corinthians 6:16 – “…as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
Matthew 27:51 – “And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom…”
This signified that God had moved out of manmade temples and would move into men.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you…” (v.19)
Reality of the integrity of God’s Word
Isaiah 40:8 – “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
Isaiah 55:11 – “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prospering the thing whereto I sent it.”
Jeremiah 1:12 (AMP) – “Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.”
Reality of the authority in the Name of Jesus
Philippians 2:9-11 – “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow… And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord…”
John 16:23 – “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you.”
John 14:14 – “If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.”
Jesus’ Name can do anything that He can do.
Reality of having the God-kind of faith residing in you
1 John 5:1, 4-5 – “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God… For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”
Ephesians 2:8 – “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”
Romans 12:3 – “…as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
