Walking In Faith

The Just Shall Live By Faith

Hebrews 10:38 – “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul  shall have no pleasure in him.”

What is faith?

Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the     evidence of things not seen.”

Who has faith?

Romans 12:3 – “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”

1 John 5:1-5 – “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God…”  (v.1) “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” (vv.4-5)

Ephesians 2:8 – “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.”

Our first step of faith is the new birth. From that time forward our entire Christian walk should be by faith and not by sight.

2 Corinthians 5:7 – “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Faith Demands Action

James 2:17-22 – “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone” (v.17).

Faith without corresponding actions is void or destitute of power.

Understand How Faith Is Produced And Channeled

Faith is a creative power that comes from the heart.

The head reasons.

The heart acts.

Faith is fed by the Word.

Romans 10:17 – “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Physical man eats physical food and produces a force called strength.

Mental man eats mental food and produces a force called willpower.

The spirit man eats spirit food and produces a power called faith.

Faith is channeled through words and actions.

Faith speaks of things that are not as though they were.
